Supercom - Incident Response management Systems

VUANCE (FORMERLY SUPERCOM), a U.S. based systems integrator of disaster and incident management systems, has its roots in the smart card market.  VUANCE, the parent corporation, was founded in 1988 and is publicly traded on NASDAQ.  The company has development and project management facilities in the United States and Israel, and manufactures and integrates smart card secured applications for government markets worldwide.  VUANCE (FORMERLY SUPERCOM) specializes in the marketing, sales, assembly and system integration of disaster and incident site management systems. These systems provide scalable, portable, interoperable communications and smart card secured authentication systems.

VUANCE'S (FORMERLY SUPERCOM) flagship product, the Smart IRMS, is the industry’s only disaster and incident site management system that combines a portable, wireless, wide area network to meet the requirements of Homeland Security Presidential Directives (HSPD) 5 and 8 for management of domestic incidents and national preparedness. With these requirements, there is also a demand for intelligent security systems on a city and county level. The SDSMS product is ideal for this growing market and is currently meeting the requirements of a large urban metropolitan police department. VUANCE (FORMERLY SUPERCOM) is NIMS compliant and approved for all Department of Homeland Security grants under the AEL number 4.1.3.2.  The system is FIPS 201 compliant and ISO 9000 approved.

The company has a long and illustrious history in the smart card market and has long been a leader in developing electronic identification solutions. VUANCE'S (FORMERLY SUPERCOM) other products include e-passports, visas, various other border entry documents, national ids, military, police and commercial access identification.

In 2006, VUANCE (FORMERLY SUPERCOM) established itself as a leader in the Homeland Security market by naming former CIA Director, R. James Woolsey – one of America’s preeminent authorities on security issues – as Chairman of its new Advisory Board. The Advisory Board was set up to identify new applications for technologies in the homeland security, defense and document authentication markets.

Strategic Partners:
VUANCE (FORMERLY SUPERCOM) has forged strategic partnerships with companies that provide other best of breed emergency responder and military market applications, in order to offer its customers the market’s only total systems solution for incident management.

VUANCE (FORMERLY SUPERCOM) partners provide interoperable communications capabilities for bridging emergency responder communications at the incident site, as well as cost effective satellite communications and network services, tailored for government markets.

Continued Growth:
VUANCE (FORMERLY SUPERCOM) is expanding its offerings with the Pure RF™ Movement Detection Solution. This new tool, which actively tracks people and assets by means of low-powered RF tags attached to an object or a person, will complete the IRMS Suite.  RF capability will allow real-time tracking of human traffic, as well as the capability to bypass a designated entrance point, for firefighters and other rescue squad personnel, who can’t afford the time to even swipe a contactless smart card.  Thus positioning VUANCE (FORMERLY SUPERCOM) as a one-stop shop for solutions that monitor both the movements of people and critical assets.
