Fire/Rescue Accountability
Systems Members of professional and
volunteer Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Medical Services
respond to a myriad of critical incidents on a daily
basis. These incidents range in size and severity,
but are often in a mutual aid or interagency environment
with other emergency responders and law enforcement
professionals. Ensuring the safety and security of
first responders is the most important job of an agency,
but often falls short of technological developments that
may help save lives.
Supercom’s IRMS line of solutions can drastically
modernize accountability, communications, and
identification systems in the fire/rescue sector.
Our RFID and Smart Card solutions can be carried by
personnel in turnout/bunker gear, RFID keytags,
wristbands, or on cards and be read in vehicles, on
tripods, handheld units, or within the scene. This
raises the level of accountability far beyond barcodes,
engine rings, name tags, or other currently used
technologies for tracking personnel within a scene.
Our solutions are also an excellent resource for
EMS crews who can read first responder smart cards on
board an ambulance to gain critical information on the
cardholder’s allergies, medical conditions, or emergency
notification instantly; thus aiding in their
treatment.
Our Dynagates and S-DSMS units also give the incident
commander the ability to coordinate a multi-unit or
interagency scene and set up a perimeter in any
environment.
Our solutions are made up of the following to
meet the needs of your agency:
Smart-Disaster Site Management
Systems operate with a robust 900 MHz
line of sight communications and battery powered tripod
checkpoints to assure operation in any condition,
regardless of the lack of infrastructure. The
Dynagate provides battery-powered smart-card access
control units with or without biometric verification;
which works off-line or using an on-board Cisco Router
to communicate wirelessly to our Smart Gate
software.
Handheld
readers can verify smart cards, 2D barcodes
(Driver’s Licenses), and fingerprints in a small,
lightweight reader.
Pure-RF Radio
Frequency Identification Tags are small,
motion activated ID tags that can track movements within
areas for total, real-time
accountability.
Communications
Interoperability Bridges give an incident
commander the ability to link radio and telephonic
communications devices from any organization together,
to ensure a constant flow of communication; in a small,
portable solution.
Mobile Credentialing
and Enrollment Stations give users the
ability to issue smart-card credentials and database
updates on-scene in a mobile environment, to ensure the
security and accountability of a site and all personnel
responding therein.
Smart
Cards give organizations the ability to
identify personnel in a completely secure way, which not
only curbs counterfeiting and impersonation, but also
allows important data on the cardholder to be stored on
the card itself. Thus allowing rapid access
of security, medical, and notification of information
for first responders and incident
commanders.
Smart Gate and Magna
databases are secure database applications
that tie these solutions into the command center
software so that the scene can be monitored, secured,
and controlled on any Windows-based
computer.
